If Its Raining LMT Pips Where Did Mine Go ?

I have been getting lots of signals on days when some of you have only had a few and some claim to have none. The best thing to do is we can go throught his check list starting with the easiest, most likely solutions 1st. I have included some of the questions and answers from Deans FAQ.

Step 1. Read The Instruction Book !

I am amazed at how many people who I have helped in the last few weeks who haven't read the instruction book. Come on guys, this thing works if you understand it. Read it 2 or 3 times until you know it inside out. Then go through my advanced rules again. Then print the rules out and put them as a reminder next to your pc monitor.

Do I need to have mt4 running in order to receive trade setup alerts? DUH ?

Yes in order to receive trade signals the mt4 charting platform must be running. I leave mine on 24 hours a day. If you close down the platform and open it after the signal has already occurred then it will not alert you. If you just open the platform prior to the candle close you will get alerts as normal. If you make sure that the smiley face is in the top right hand corner.

I am getting a sad face instead of a smiley face what should I do?

Click on the sad face and a options box will appear for the Indicator. Under the common tab make sure you have allow live trading ticked, if you don't tick it and then click ok.

Also make sure click on the button on the top of your menu called "Expert Advisers" this should have a green arrow in it like the one below, if this was red this should now change your cross into a smiley face.

Do I need to open a chart for each currency in order to get signals from it. 

Yes you do. Make sure that you have all the charts set up under 1 profile in metatrader. I had one member last week who made the mistake of having each chart, under a separate profile. Therefore He only got a signal on 1 pair. If you are not sure about the profile issue. Look at the bottom of your screen and see if all the tabs are there for the different pairs ie you can click from one chart to another without leaving the screen that you are on. If not e mail me I will tell you how to sort this out.

The L.M.T indicators are not showing on my charts what should I do?

If you are seeing the L.M.T template under your chart templates but when you click on it the chart is missing some indicators first check the markets are open and it is not a weekend or a bank holiday. Then check your charts are live and price is moving.

If your metatrader freezes you will get nothing. Go to a 1 minute chart and make sure the candles are moving. Also look bottom right corner, there should be a number followed by kb. If not or it says NO Connection, put your mouse over the number and left click. Then click on the other servers to see if you can get a better connection or click re-scan. TIP If you have lots of connection problems with metatrader, experiment with these settings. It usually takes a couple of ticks market movement before the details show on the chart.

How can I be sure the sound alerts are working?

Once you have everything installed and working correctly simply drop down to a 1 minute chart (do not trade on this time frame) then it will only take a few minutes before a setup occurs at this point the alert will sound and a popup will appear with the pair and time.

Please Note: setups on the 1 minute chart are not valid this is only to test the sound alerts!

What happens if I use a broker that closes the daily candle at a different time? Will this affect the system?

You can use a different broker with mt4 and a different time zone for the daily candle close. This will not affect the system, it evens out over many trades. But Dean recommend that you use the same broker as me which is ForexMeta.

I have 2 platforms running with different candle close times = Lots more signals !!! Forex meta closes 22.00 BST (gmt +1).

I also have an Alpari uk platform which closes an hour later. Platforms are free. Download a few and experiment to see which works best.

My Best Results so far are with Forex meta (Deans Recommended Broker). 

One curiosity with all this is that I was talking last night with a friend in mexico who is also running forex meta. His daily candles closed at the same time as mine and yet he had 2 more signals than me !

I think that it must be something to do with the different data streams depending where you are in the world. As I said earlier, experiment with different platforms to see if you can get more signals.

If not, one brain wave came to me (this could be rubbish but its worth a try). Remember I said before about the connection figure bottom right of your meta trader screen. Hover your mouse over it, left click and look at which date centre is feeding your platform - my meta is fed by data centre 3 Saudi Arabia. Try different data centres and see if that improves your quantity. I will post live on twitter how many I am getting to give you an idea (marc12001)
