Binary Options Signals
Binary Options are becoming more and more popular at the current time but there is still a dearth of software, systems and Binary Options signals services – in fact it would seem that there are more brokers than anything else right now.
One Binary Options Signals service that has been around for a long time is Fixed Odd Success. We recently spoke to Matt Shaw, a Binary Options trading veteran who has been trading these markets profitably for well over 5 years.
Matt was good enough to allow us to interview him and share his insights into the market, how he got started and how he developed his popular Binary Options Signals system.
Binary Options Signals – Interview with Matt Shaw

Binary Options Signals: Matt Sure of Fixed Odd Success
1) Could you tell us a little about yourself please?
I am originally from Pontypool in South Wales. I now reside in Cardiff Bay, I am 28 years old, Drive a BMW M5, I love dogs, climbing, surfing, sky diving, boxing and football. I am also registered with Volunteer Wales and keep about 3-4 hours spare each week for different things that they need help with.
2) How did you discover binary options trading? What got you interested in it?
I have always been interested in the stock market since I was a little lad. My father held a Post Office account for me as I was a kid, then I cashed it in at 16 (around £2,500) then began trading shares. I made a lot and LOST more up to the age of 19. Then I began to travel around the UK to various trading seminars, picking up useful tips and meeting different traders; Full and Part-time! I eventually came across Fixed Odds at one particular seminar in 2002 just after my 20th birthday and just before the birth of my daughter. I have not looked back since!
3) How long have you been trading Binary Options?
For nearly 8 years now!
4) How did you come to develop your systems? Are they based on technical analysis?
80% based on TA, with the rest of the strategy based on sentiment indicators and my 6th sense of the markets!
5) Do you prefer Binary trading to regular trading? If so, why?
I most certainly prefer Binary trading. The most important aspect of BT, is that it allows you extra leverage, thus not having to pin-point precisely where a market top or bottom will come. I sometimes get in at the perfect time i.e. just before a rally or just before a fall with Low No Touch and High No Touch trades respectively, but sometimes even if I miss-time a trade by a day or so, by taking smaller returns I gain that extra leverage which undoubtedly comes to the rescue!
6) There is no stop loss or take profit in binary options trading – does this make it easier in your opinion?
You used to be able to set a ‘trigger’ (stop loss and ORDER). The broker I use does not any longer offer this facility. This may be coming back later in 2011, however I rarely used it before and will not bother it if does come into use once more.
The trouble with triggers was that you needed to place it fairly close to your barrier/NT level, so that it would not be too close to the current price, hence knocking you out of the trade prematurely even if the market were to just trade naturally within its own comfortable range.
So, by having the trigger rather close to your NT/barrier level, if the market breached this point (trigger) you would not get a good price, as the trigger is so close to your NT level anyway. So Bet On Markets assess that the market will probably go on and breach your NT/barrier level nonetheless, so they are less likely to offer you a good ‘sale’ price at the trigger level. Again, as I have already stated, having your ‘trigger’ point too far away from the NT/barrier level, then you are soaking up too much of your leverage (Distance from NT/barrier level to the current market price at inception).
7) Do you have several strategies or one master system for your Binary Options signals?
Around 2-3 strategies, which are all culminated through arbitrage and also low end and high end return trades.
8) What kind of trades do you use in your system – one touch, no touch, etc?
No Touch (Touch/No Touch – Does Not touch) and BARRIER (In/Out)
9) What is the win to loss ratio?
90-95% strike rate! (18-19 out of 20 wins)
10) What is the average percentage profit per trade?
25-45% per trade (with using 15-20% of pot on each trade)
With a £1,000 pot, you would bet with £200, so say 30% on that would be £70. So, the overall % return on account with one trade is around 7%.
11) How often do you trade?
Sometimes i trade 4 times per week, sometimes just 3 times per month!
12) How quickly do you need to place the trade once someone receives an alert?
You need to act within a few hours, but in some cases you can place the following day!
13) Do you have any tips for our members who might be interested in developing their own binary options strategies?
Be VERY patient and don’t over trade! Even try to evaluate the most obvious of signals, as sometimes charts can throw out misleading opportunities!
13) Anything else you would like to add.
I trade now more as a hobby, but spend most of my time mentoring private clients (a small group who trade with me, but not so many that they will begin to affect odds).
I never look to trade in the day, if you do that then you will always find an opportunity. If you let an opportunity present and sell itself (like you are on Dragon’s Den and are being heavily pitched to), then you can maybe invest if everything feels right.
To go alone – Take some time out and listen to other people who are developing software, strategies etc. Learn all you can and begin to apply different bits and pieces yourself and things will ‘FALL’ into place!

Matt believes, based on anticipated market volatility, you could make between 10–50% account growth for the remainder of the year. The higher end is much more likely this year, due to the shake-up that the markets will encounter, as volatility rises so trades will be offered better leverage.
Good luck with your trading if you choose to trade Matt’s Binary Options Signals
