L M T Forex Formula Review

Greetings ! My name is Marc Walton. I trade forex from my home here in the Canary Islands. For the 1st three years I struggled like 90%+ of new forex traders and I lost money, I lost a lot of money, over $20.000! The last two and a half years I have become steadily more successful. So far this year I have gained 6000+ pips (most trades posted live on twitter).

I now have 1000′s of followers for whom I offer free forex trading tuition, support and advice. My attempt to give something back to the forex community.

Until now I have never endorsed a forex product, in all honesty because most of them I ran across were either a scam or vastly over-priced….. Costing people thousands of dollars, and doing hardly anything that they claimed. Its no wonder I’ve never endorsed anything. For the most part you can find better information on my site right here!

However, I started to use the LMT forex formula to trade currencies since mid May. It was recommended to me by the creator, Dean Saunders himself, and so far its worked wonders! So read on to learn more about it;

Dean Saunders LMT Forex formula.

The LMT formula (low maintenance Forex trading formula) was hyped as a “set and forget, make a fortune in only 15 minutes a day” forex trading system. They always make it sound too good to be true, and it typically is, however there is some truth to these claims!

It can be traded straight out of the box even if you have very little forex currency experience, however the more forex trading knowledge you have the better. I would strongly recommend that anyone trying any new forex product use a free demo account at first.

The formula is described fully & simply in a downloadable e book and comes with a file that you attach to your metatrader trading platform (if you don’t have metatrader at the moment, its free and there are instructions how to download that too).

You can read Mr Saunders e book and have the whole lot up and working in just a few short hours.

Formula

The forex trading formula is very conservative. You only buy a currency pair if the long term trend is going up and only sell if the trend is down.  I’m sure many of you have heard the expression “The Trend Is Your Friend.” Currency Trading in the direction of the current trend has shown to increase your chances of a profitable forex trade by up to 30%.

When Do I get in to a trade?

When a trade opportunity presents itself an alarm will sound to tell you which pairs have possible trades.

When do I get out?

Finally, when to get out of the trade. The hardest part of forex that I find is knowing when to close the trade, ie getting out too soon. Again Dean Saunders has a simple solution. When a candle crosses a specific ema (line) and closes through it. Get out.

Concerns

The only thing that concerned me initially was that for those of you who can only trade the daily forex charts, I didn’t think you could just set it and forget it as they claim in their marketing. I thought that you would need to sit around to wait for the 1st profit target to be hit and then move the stop loss to break even on the second lot. However there is a trick with metatrader that solves that potential problem.

The LMT Forex trading formula. Does it work ?

Week 1 forex trading the lmt forex formula on a demo account (I wish i’d done it on my live account)! I made over a 1000 pips with the lmt formula.

Update: I went live using the LMT friday 29th May 2009. By tuesday  morning, 2nd June I had made 1500+ pips !! At $10 a pip that would have made you $15.000 in 3 days! This was simply astounding. Some of my followers who are relatively new to forex gained 400/500/600 pips in their 1st week (see comments bottom of this page)

Had I started last week, trading on the daily charts I would be currently 3800 pips up and still going strong !!

The only problem if you are new to forex trading is that you need to use some discretion before deciding to take some of the trades. Sometimes the LMT will signal 7 or 8 trades all at the same time !! You need to learn which  trades have the greatest potential and which ones to leave. You also need to use strict money management rules.

Therefore for those of you who join the system from my link I will do an “lmt advisory service.”  I have written a number of articles for “LMT advanced forex trading rules.”  I will email you details and reasons why I did (and, just as important, why i didn’t take the trades). Also, if you have any questions feel free to contact me.

The product comes with a 60 day money back guarantee, so you have nothing to lose and plenty to gain. However Dean Saunders has said that he will limit the number of members he will allow so that he and I can provide the level of support to our respective followers.

Check to see if its still available:

Conclusion

As i said at the beginning I hardly ever recommend a forex training product as most of them are scams or at best not worth the paper that they are written on. This is the 1st new forex product that has got me excited in a long time. At the end of the day if you are serious about trading currencies and risking $1000′s then you have to spend some money on improving your forex education.

I told you at the beginning of this review that I lost approx $20.000 in my first 3 years forex trading because I was trying to do the “quick” trades.  The 4 hour and daily charts are a lot less stressful as well as more predictable in my experience. The sooner you can get away from these small time frames the better.

Use the banner link above or below to join the LMT Forex Formula. Email me with your confirmation details (marc@forex-fxtrader.com) and I will include you in my lmt advice service. I will email details of trades I made and answer questions that you may have,

good trading, regards marc

      Hi All,
the LMT is based on some rock solid trending method. I stress the word "trending". Don't expect it to work well in sideways/swinging times.
Dean had put a lot of his personal experience into the system. I can see it with every single trade. But this is still a TRENDING system.
Not scalping, not breakout, not countertrend nor anything else.
YOU MUST GO WITH THE TREND. If no trend or the trend is weak, no good results.
If you just bought it and feel disappointed, please wait just a little more time. It's like buying a bike close to the end of winter - just wait for snows to go out and you can jump on :-) And then you will enjoy the ride till the next snowfall...

      Hi Marc,
Been watching your blogs for a while now. You're doing a great job and service to fellow forex'ers.
Could you please add me to your advanced rules and updates list. Thanks soooo much!

      Hi Marc,

I've been using LMT for over a month now with mixed success and would really appreciate a copy of your advanced rules. I've learnt more about LMT in the last 30 minutes reading your blog than in the month of trading with LMT, great job!!

I've added a 'trend cross' indicator to my LMT charts for and early heads up on a trend change. Seems to help me enter and exit trades more profitably.

      Regards
      Ralph
    • Hi Ralph, thanks for the comments. I have sent you a link, marc

      Hi Marc,

I have just come across you're site and think it's brilliant!
I have already bought LMT. If I'd seen you're site previously I would have definitetly purchased through your link.
I would be most grateful if I could receive a copy of your advanced rules and be included on your support list.

      Regards
      David

      Hi Marc

i bought the LMT a few months back. I always feel uncomfortable when using as its stop loss is at least 2 times that of recommended profit taking which contradict what i learned in the past.
      Please advise.
    • Hi jimmy. the 1st target is simply that, the FIRST stage of the trade. At that point you either move your stop to entry and let the trade run for the bigger target or do as i do. I take 2 lots. Close the 1st at 1st target and lock in some profits. Then I move the stop to entry on the 2nd lot and let that run, marc

      Dear Marc,

Its such an informative hands on site you have provided for us newbies. Thankyou so much. Can I also access your advanced rules?
I had a buy signal on the 4hr GBP/USD whilst a sell signal on the Daily.
They seem to conflict! What do I do?

      HI Marc:
I want to ask a newbie question and I hope that asking here wont slow down the group.

I have been reading through your forex training and I am wondering if you apply the "plan" and "daily routine" ( as described in the training section) to the LMT system?

      thanks
    • Hi leigh. A lot of experienced traders on here (read alx & gally's posts) are simply taking the signals that the lmt gives, combined with some of the advanced rules ie correlation etc. The daily plan is really a similar set of rules. The daily routine refers to my normal trading methods. There is some cross over between the 2 sets of rules, for example both tell you to check out the news calendar. I advise never to trade nfp/USA unemployment news and be wary of entering trades near to any big news events.
    • leigh58
      Hello Marc:
I had already purchased the LMT system by the time I found your site here. Please may I have a copy of your advanced rules eventhough I didnt purchase LMT through you? Thank you.
    • Hi leigh, I added you to the support and advice list, regards, marc
    • Gally
      Andy,
I think a fair few of us trade using LMT as is. But that doesn't mean we don't use other techniques/knoweldge to help in trading. You're getting a huge number of signals, and sometimes its wise to be aware of what's going on in the market, where resistance lines might be, what's happening in the news, etc, so you can choose the best ones to follow.
It all adds to Dean's basic rules and to Marc's advanced ones.
However, there would have been lots of reasons for staying out of lots of bets on Monday, and the system came through every time. Some of us might be over-complicating!
Try using the rules, dummy-trading and then using small stakes. See what works for you.
    • Gally
And just to give an example. This morning we've had a couple of daily signals and, so far four H4 signals. I'm not touching the dailies because the markets aren't trending enough (okay and because I got burned yesterday), so that's a decision taken outside the parameters of LMT. With the four H4 signals, three were on GBPJPY and all have completed to profit. USDJPY would be open, currently with a small loss. But again, I chose not to take that because I'm not taking USD bets on NFP day. So, combining LMT and external knowledge is working for me. So far. I won't be taking any further bets as US open is just around the corner
    • Khalif
      Hey Marc
What platforms do u run the lmt software through..I am currently running it through the forexmeta...but the actual broker that I use and another platform that i use does no show any signals..I have done all the trouble shooting expert advisor is clicked on..but i see no smiley face..have u encountered this problem?
    • no khalif. never heard of that problem before. are you sure that the data feed is working ie that prices are changing ? If so contact dean for technical support or uninstall and start again, marc
    • Khalif
Got the problem resolved marc. How do I get your advanced rules for the LMT.. THANKS
    • You only needed to ask khalif ! I have added you to the list. You will receive a copy of the advanced rules , updates, tips & advice, marc
    • Hi andy. The 1st week i demo'd the sytem had i taken every trade when it arrived i would have made 3800 pips in a week ! Alex posted on here that he took 21 signals form 29 on monday, they all won for a total of 800+ pips (he couldn't take them all as he didnt have enough equity in his account to cover all the trades- but they ALL won).
However, I dont recommend this approach all the time. Have you checked out my advanced rules re using discretion when taking trades ? avoid taking pairs that are correlated etc ? if not send me an email and i will let you have a copy. In summary, you can use it straight from the box, sometimes i have not taken trades because of my expertise and they have won anyway, lots of times ! Keep following the blog for tips and advice, marc
    • fasttraxs
      Thanks for the blog
What platforms / broker are you trding to get so many signals ?
They are closing candles at different times? to be getting all these signals.
    • Fasttraxs, as i explained in the advanced rules email "I am running 2 metatrader platforms at the moment to see which performs best. They are all free. Some of you are not getting the same signal as me as your are on different platforms. The one that i have found best at the moment is forexmeta (Deans recommended one)whose charts are bst + 2 hours on my platform. I also have alpari uk which is bst + 1 hour. It all should even itself out over time but if you want the same as me, thats it.
    • leigh58
Marc: I would like to thank you ahead of time: i have just started reading your forex training and let me say what a relief it is to have some place to go where a brand spanking newbie can get some well structured direction. Perhaps you were overwhlemed as well with the frenzied, fevered search for the holy grail of trading strategies. It has really been astonishing the amount of sifting I have been having to do just to get through the ads/advice/magic templates and end-all plans. thanks for sharing.
    • Thanks for the kind words leigh. There is loads of free information on the main site and the blog. Also check out the comments on the blog there are lots of experienced traders here who are quite happy to help. we have all been where you are ! marc

Hi Marc - it is especially confusing now, when we are on summer time.
Your timezone is GMT+0 but local time is GMT+1 because you add DST offset.
Good news: all Europe and US are on DST so offset between London and New York is always 4 hrs. 4 hrs - doesn't it sound familiar?
The only exception is Tokyo - they don't support DST. But as we know, 80% of times Asia session is more a lag time than action.

Justin - the Forex Meta is very good and signals first. You can get in early at best prices. Keep in mind Dean developed&tested his software on this particular broker data feed.
    • Justin
hi Marc, theres alot of talk on market sessions for different parts of the world, could you please tell us what times these sessions begin and end.
      Thanks
    • Hi justin, be careful with time zones on this, the bst & dst confuses the hell out of me ! London time (bst = gmt +1 at the moment) london opens 8.00am, new york 13.00 & tokyo 22.00 hours. alx gives a great break down of market openings & important events that affect the markets, see his comments on this page http://forex-fxtrader.com/blog/how-to-become-a-forex-winner/
    • Michael
      Marc,

I have the LMT on three different brokers. This way if I don't get a daily signal on one I may on the next, what do you think of this strategy?

      Michael
    • Hi michael. re the platforms. yes. I have 2 platforms working (alx mentioned he has 3). i get more signals this way. for example this morning I have had 3 signals from alpari and none on forex meta. In general forex meta gave the most, but i suspect all platforms will even out over time. Also, if you are only able to trade the daily charts, dont forget to check there hasn't been a 4 hour signal at the same time the daily candle closes. I have had days when there has been no daily signal, but there were 4 hours. Finally, by definition you won't get as many signals on the daily BUT when the markets start to trend again you can catch big moves= less trades/less stress - maybe the best way to trade !
    • Michael
      Marc,

When you are doing a daily is there any pairs you stay away from? The Market sometimes goes crazy with US news reports. It seems like sometimes it can move to your stop loss just because of one anouncement. Then retrace and go with the trend.
    • You should always look at the calendar for news for the day ahead. However on the daily charts the 1st lot of news (except yen & aud/nzd) is not usually until much later in the day. Also, trading the daily charts the stops are usually big enough to avoid most news spikes. Re pairs to avoid. The markets go through cycles as do pairs. Choose the ones that fit the rules and then check that they are in a trend (noot moving sideways): I never trade the 1st friday of the month (usa employment news, known as NFP)
    • Michael
      Marc,

Is there a best time to trade? Is the U.S. better than the Asian? Or is the London the best? Is there a certain strategy you use? Is the LMT part of it?

      Michael
    • Hi Michael, the lmt system is a 24 hour one as you know. i check the daily close as well as many 4 hour as i can
for my normal trading my preferred time to trade is 7.00am bst (gmt + 1 summer time -london time on world clock) until noon (1 hour before new york open). i always found moves to be more predictable and easier to win london session & then used to give most of it back new york. that may be my prejudice though, obviously lots of traders make big money trading new york. the main thing is to avoid the tokyo asian session. more times than not there is little or no movement (its like watching paint dry).
    • vasu
      hi marc,
shall we open a group in orkut about lmt discussion, leonardo,i am three month old kid to forex,me too in development mode in forex.....
i think we look forward in orkut....
    • Leonardo
Sure that would be great! What do you think Marc? What do other people think?
Vasu: I have no previous experience or knowledge about orkut (I just look out for some info and i think it could work!); but perhaps you could carry out the preparation and development of the group. Is it ok 4 u?
    • Nancy
I'm confused. If you have a full time job, then you can't trade this, can you?
I had read that you spent 15 minutes at it per night, but this report makes it sound like I'd have to be at home and have the metatrader platform running.
      Please help!
      Thanks!
    • hi nancy. I am a full-time forex trader, therefore analysis i post on the site is detailed and showing things i see at different times of the day, however, the lmt is different.

there are a number of options with the LMT forex formula. You can just trade off the daily charts, ie "the 15 minutes per day". At the close of the daily candle you decide to take a trade or not. there are a lot less signals on the daily, BUT the moves /gains tend to be much bigger. for example a recent gbp move from may on the daily chart gave 1200 pips. Had lmt been available in february the move was 3000 ! I have some followers who trade the daily and then whichever 4 hour charts they can, when they are near their computer. There is a trick so that you can "set & forget" a trade. hope this clears up the confusion.
    • vasu
its better to create lmt group on orkut to share our experience in g talk
    • Leonardo
      Hi Marc!
Thanks for all your advices, I also got the LMT 3 days ago. I've made more than 200 pips during these 3 days in a demo account, only getting to the initial targets. I Want to get more experience and guidance on long term trades, how can you help?
I was wondering, perhaps, everybody participating in this conversation would like to make a group in some chat, in msn or skype (something like that...), so all of us (LMT customers) could relate and share experiences and signals live to try to catch big pips! What about it people?
Catch you later Marc, keep up your great job!
      Leonardo
    • Tim
      Hi Marc,
Just wanted to say thank you so much for all your help. I have been trading with LMT one week now. I am up over 900 pips profit with 16 straight wins. Just sticking to the rules of LMT. It is hard not to take other trades but you need to be disiplined and stick to the plan.

      Tim
    • fasttraxs
      Marc
I agree with your pairs correlation info and daily range
So what pairs are you trading live at this time.?
Is anybody using anything as a confirmation signal for trending or ranging market?
Thanks for the blog and info you give
    • Hi fasttraxs, if you are using the lmt froex formula, the trigger signal at the bottom of the chart tells you a trade is possible. some of the guys on here are adding another indicator. I haven't had time to check it out yet. Personally i have not been trading much this week, since my "profit warning email" i sent out on tuesday (apart from the odd non lmt trade).

The markets are in turmoil at the moment and many pairs are whipping backwards and forwards and others going sideways. There is no clear trend direction. Is it a pullback or a reversal ? The LMT works great with the trend. But we need a trend ! Best advice is if you are not sure, is walk away. Let the dust settle and then get back in.

Too many traders (especially the newer ones) are sat there dying to make a trade. A sure way to the poor house ! Chill, enjoy life and come back when the silly ones have lost their money. I have been there and done it. I am now older but oh so wise ! Marc

      Hi Mac
i Saw this information on Trader Secret library forum.
I have a group of followers for whom I have written a set of advanced rules, if you would like a copy email me.
Unfortunately I already have the LMT system, but would like to get a copy of your advance trading rules and future access
to any product that you endorse. Looking forward to your feedback soon.
Thanks and have a blessed day

476 total pip profit trading about 3 1/2 hours today. Thanks Marc and LMT. LMT is not some fly by night scam. This works. I also tossed out my robots. Will never buy one again. I have learned more in the last week than I have since starting trading six months ago.

      Hi marc,

      I would like to buy this amazing LMT system. One question is;

can I load in the program in my 3 pc, and open it together in one time?

I want to install at my laptop, my pc at home and my pc at office.

      Thanks.

      Jhareezrich
    • hi jhareezrich. send me an email. i will sort it for you, marc

Hey Mark, I think this new deal Dean is offering with the 3 trading systems in one is a better deal..Are you an affiliate for this one? I want to buy from you and get your advice too so I you are not an affiliate, would you consider doing this..let me know asap..by the way, I think it is very good of you to help other people learn how to do this...I have been stuggling financially for a few years and I am trying to take action and get out of debt and I need all the help I can get, so thank you very much
    • Hi doug. I am an affiliate for blade forex and if you wish to purchase It would be great if you did it through my link: http://marc12001.digitaldea.hop.clickbank.net. However I have to say that in my opinion the LMT is much better value for money and gives you a system that you plug in and away you go. The Blade forex is more of an educational book set. It was a great help to me in getting me onto longer time frames (one of the books is a scalping book - that i do not recommend). If i was to choose between the 2 I would recommend the LMT everytime. Hope i have not confused you too much !!, marc

sorry the whole candle is 380 pips,t.p is 92 and s.l is 192 ,so if we calculate 1.5*192=288,so shall i take the tarde or not ,its below 1.5 times i think,so am i correct or not.please tell me marc.
    • vasu. No you wouldn't take the trade. As you say the stop loss is 192 x 1.5 = 288. Therefore the candle is almost 100 pips too big (anything over 288 is a NO trade according to the rules). The other thing is I wouldn't take the trade anyway as a 380 pip candle is HUGE. As a guide anything over 250 pip candle would make me less likely to take the trade. There are lots of better ones around, just wait for a better one to come along.
    • vasu
suppose is the whole candle is 190 pips,t.p is 92 and s.l is 192 ,so if we calculate 1.5*192=288,so shall i take the tarde or not ,its below 1.5 times i think,so am i correct or not.please tell me marc.

Hi Mark, I am thinking of buying LMT but I have a question. First, I can only start with $500. Would I be wasting my time starting with so little?
    • Hi doug. You could start with $500. The amounts you would be risking (and therefore winning) would be very small, but in some ways it may be better than those who start with a $10.000 account. You would need to be very disciplined & couldn't risk losing too often. I have a friend who has twice taken a $300 account to $30.000 just for fun and to prove it can be
done ! The million Dollar challenge that I am starting next week to turn $2000 into a $1million in 2 years -my 15 year old daughter is running it - is only starting with $2000.

      hello,
can any 1 please help about this step 1 in the lmt manual

Make sure the candle which gave the signal is not a huge bullish/ bearish candle. As a guide, if the candle is more than 1.5 times the size of the current stop value avoid the trade. These large candles will often retrace a long way before going in the predicted direction and there is a high chance that your stop loss may be hit before the trade goes into profit. This step is essential, if you see these huge
bars on the entry signal don’t take the trade.
    • vasu. there is a diagram on page 31 of the manual showing what dean means. The point is this. If the signal shows that the stop loss for a trade is 100 pips, do not take the trade if the candle that is closing is more than 1.5 times that candle. E.g if the candle that is closing is more than 150 pips (1.5 x stop) do NOT take the trade. marc

    • Michael, Forex can be quite lonely & boring some of the time. I started the blog to teach my kids how to build a website and give me something to do when the markets are quiet and to give something back. There are so many scams out there. Problem is it just keeps growing ! The good thing is there are other experienced traders on here who give help and advice too, marc

As far as I can see, Dean created very good entry system performing well on trending and swinging markets (but not sideways). But having good entry is just a half of the job. Some argue even less. This is the exit that fixes your profits.
Dean gave us couple of hints. But these are general exit rules.
OK, the rules work. But sometimes they may exit too early, sometimes loose too much of profit.
So exit rules is an open issue: should we trail?, if trail then how?, should exit at predetermined points? what points? Should we combine both exit methods?
This is something everyone has to work out according to his mentality. Some people just don't like to breakeven without any profit (I don't). Some just want to get 20-30 pips on every trade. Some want to get only big moves. Some... the more people, the more take profit methods.
I cannot give you simple advice, but one is very important: no any single profit take method is perfect. I use different methods for different market types: sideways - tight stops, predetermined. Swings: profit stops at swing points, semi-predetermined, trailing stop loss. Trending: two lots, one for predetermined target profit, the other no target profit, trailing stop loss for both, looking for reversals, exit if pullback becomes too deep - if too early, you can reenter.

Hi All, I must admit, v1.8 is much better than I expected.
Here is my message to Dean:
"Despite my initial doubts, your v1.8 system performed extremely well today!
It fired some daily signals, they went quite well (over 100 pips per trade), however the market reversed during London session. Daily signals got invalidated by 4 hrs signals opening new, very profitable trading opportunities...
With some help from simple exit techniques, most of the initial daily profits were saved :-)

Good work and thank you very much!"

      Hi Marc,
My son bought me LMT on Monday for my birthday. He said throw out the EA'S, so I did.
Question on time zone. Im on Forex Meta +3 GMT, does it really matter what time zone or GMT you are. Or just trade when the signals show up?
      Tim
    • Hi Tim. I have had good results with forex meta (gmt+3). I also have alpari uk running gmt +2. This way I get twice as many signals. They are free so just download another metatrader. The main thing is to follow the rules. Dean has 6/7 rules many of my followers were breaking or changing them day 1 ! Don't take too many trades at once on a real account - see my advanced rules re which trades to take and which to leave. This is very important.
The system worked brilliantly for the 1st 2.5 weeks. Last 4 days I advised people to stay out until the trends resumed. I started again last night. I had 5 daily signals all of which worked and 4 x 4 hour signals at the same time on forex meta. (TIP if you are only using daily charts, don't forget to check the 4 hour at the close of the daily, there are often different signals there as well). Good luck with it, marc

      Hi Martin,

In response to your question, it could be to do with the server time used by my broker/platform. I'm using an Alpari-UK demo account and their server day close/open is at 22:00GMT. So, the daily candles close at 22:00GMT and 4hr candles close at 22:00GMT and every 4 hours after that.

I took the GBP/USD long trade based on the daily chart. I had 3 red bars followed by a green. That trade is still open and currently up 354 pips.

The USD/JPY short trade was based on the 4hr charts, but was at 00:00GMT (I didn't clarify that in my comment before). It's also still open, only up a few pips though.

So, it looks like a lot of the different signals people are having are because of the different server times used by the MT4 brokers. Makes it harder to follow along with other traders, but it should all work out even in the long run.

BTW - The LMT is working great for me this week so far. Apart from the two trades I mentioned above, I also have the following trades open: a EUR/AUD short (+425pips), a GBP/JPY long (also +425pips), and an AUD/JPY long (+206pips).

Of course, "pips" is a fairly meaningless figure on its own because it depends how many lots we're trading with and the account size. We should be talking about ROE (return on equity) when quoting profits or risk. So, my 5 LMT trades that are currently open are totalling 19% ROE at the moment, with the stop loss now at break even for all of them (so zero risk).

I did take some losses with the LMT last week, about 484 pips or 6% of the account balance. I took 8 trades (daily and 4hr charts), 5 were losers, 3 broke even.

Losses will happen and many new traders will have ditched the system after the first week after losses like that. That's why it's important to trial these systems in a demo account for several weeks (even up to 3 months) before you make a judgement as to the worth of the system. Track everything diligently, forex is a serious business.

I'm enthused with the LMT so far, and Marc and others are having plenty of success, so I'll definitely keep the trial going for a few more weeks. (BTW Marc, the LMT email support service you're providing is excellent!)

      Regards,
      Mark T.
    • hi mark. 19% return on investment in a week or so is obviously extremely good. what am i saying, in the current economic climate its bloody brilliant ! I'm intrigued re 5 losses last week. i only had 1 out of 15 trades. send me an e mail re what they were. did you follow the rules ?
    • Martin
      Marc,

I bought LMT after read your comments. Have a question about the signal bar, appreciate if you could shed some light on this.

Say we have the following situation:

      1. Trade on Daily Chart & Trend is up;
      2. Count from the most right on trigger signal panel, a green bar is still closing with two green bars immediately before this were closed
      3. Four red bars are immediately before these three green bars

Should we enter a trade or wait for an entry signal?

      Many thanks.

      Martin. S
    • to let the system work you must ALWAYS follow the rules. otherwise there is no point having a system. The system says that to take a long you must have had at least 3 closed red bars. at the CLOSE of the 1st green bar you would look to buy, only if the bar that just closed is not too big. See deans book for the rules and todays e mail form me about advanced rules and money management
    • Martin
      Hi Mark T,

You mentioned above you long GBP/USD and short USD/JPY according to LMT but i didnt see any entry signal for today as yet for these two pairs in fact i hvnt seen any entry signal on my system yet...maybe it was my setting?

      Dear Marc,

what is the best broker time then? The one I use is GMT+3.
The forexmeta, is it a broker with right timing?
    • jaimesierra
Marc let me tell you so far 600 pips on GBPJPY, EURJPY . You hit a HOME RUN w/ this LMT advice.. thank you
    • Marc
Just like to share with you the +449 pips I have taken so far today using LMT on a demo account. If it continues like this I will be real trading next week. Thanks again Marc

      Hi marc!

I just went live with lmt. i cant believe the real money that's coming in! it's incredible!

Thank you so much for recommending this product to us!
    • jaimesierra
Marc . Qucik question. I'm running FXCM. graphs & candles are different from MT4 in 4h time frame. how you identify patterns to get a quility entry.
    • if its metatrader should be the same if you load deans latest update (version 1.6) its a template file. if not download any metarader platform (free) and just run that for the signals. i have found forexmeta to be the best for the signals - time zones affect the candles

      Guys,
the market is trending and the USD downtrend is very strong.
Any trending system can make a lot of money.
I don't want to question the LTM performance, but how do you know it's so good after just couple of trades?
On Friday I made 172 pips on EURUSD without the LTM.
    • Mark
Bought LMT 12 hrs ago and it has already more than paid for itself - many thanks Marc for doing the research on this. Cheers, Mark L.
      Vancouver, BC
    • Marc, thanks for the example - I will keep an eye on the 4hr candles as time allows.
Things are going a lot better this morning already - the EUR/AUD trade I had open from last week is now up 190 pips (I know I'm not supposed to be looking at that pair, but heck - I'll stay on for the ride now).
I took two trades on the daily open this morning: a GBP/USD long, currently up 50 pips, and USD/JPY short, also up about 50 pips at the moment. There was also a trigger on the EUR/USD but its candle formation didn't look as promising as on the GBP/USD.
Here's to a better trading week with the LMT!
      Regards,
      Mark T.
    • jaimesierra
Marc got curious about LMT . And I got it this weekend. look foward to follow your updates on this. regards.
    • Thanks Marc, for the reply. Aha! I must have missed the bit in the instructions about the suggested currency pairs - I'll go back and review.

I also tried some 4hr trades earlier in the week but didn't have much success. Also, I was having trouble finding the time to check/maintain the 4hr trades (which were in addition to my other systems), so I dropped them in favour of just doing the daily.

Thanks again - I'll shoot you an email of my LMT receipt.
      Mark
    • Hi Mark, I have just posted an example of fridays gbp trade which although it was a 4 hour signal it happened at 10pm gmt which was the close of the daily candle. Therefore you also need to look at the 4 hour charts as well as the daily as there may be a signal on one and not the other. This gbp trade made 200+pips on friday, marc
    • Mark
Hi Marc, thanks for the review, they are fantastic results!

I bought the LMT last weekend and haven't been quite so fortunate. I've looked for trades on the daily charts all week across about a dozen currency pairs and have found just 3 legitimate entries (which is about what I expected), which I took.

I had a break-even on a EUR/CHF short, a 212 pip loss on a GBP/CHF short, and a EUR/AUD short is still open and up about 80 pips at the moment (with the stop moved to break-even). So, in summary, I'm down about 130 pips for the week. I logged everything with notes and chart screenshots and I've taken into account Dean's subjective rules, but I may have missed something along the way.

I'm not sure why our results are so different - perhaps you got onto some good trades a couple of days before I started, perhaps our charts are slightly different - I'm on an Alpari demo account - I think their daily candles close at 10pm GMT. There could be different signals depending on the day-close time, but all that should work out in the wash over time.

I'm not about to throw it out yet, 1 week for a strategy on the daily charts is nowhere near long enough to try it out fairly, and your results give plenty of encouragement to keep going. I'll give it a run in the demo account for a few more weeks and see how things go.

Thanks for the great blog and free resources you provide for the forex community ... keep up the good work!
    • Hi Mark. I only had 3 trades this week on the daily as well. 2 or 3 on a daily is quite reasonable. There may even be weeks with the daily when there are none & others 6 or 7. Last weeks (19th may) gbp/$ weekly trade is still open (unfortunately on a demo) but it is currently + 800 pips and still going. Therefore 1 trade per month would be excellent. I will post the example later today.

Re the lmt settings I have the demo on bst + 2 and a live micro on alpari uk too + 1 hour. I had plenty of potential trades on the 4 hour - again see the above post. I earned 600+ pips thursday/ friday on a live micro account $3.50 per pip, 4 hour gbp, nzd & cad.

There were more trades available but you have to be careful not to take too many against one currency at the same time, eg euro/$ and chf/$ are virtually the same in that 82% 0f the time they are going in the opposite direction.

I notice that you had a break even and a loss on the eur/Chf and the gbp/chf. I never trade the latter as I find it way too volatile. More importantly, Dean saunders doesn't recommend either of these pairs for his system. I would suggest that you stick to the 11 suggested pairs for your testing and stick to the rules.

Finally, I offered a mentoring/advisory service with updates to my followers who bought the lmt through my link. If you send me your email and promise to keep saying positive things about me, I will include you in the group ! Regards, Marc

What I really love is a trade signal firing on multiple timeframes: you get a signal on 5 min, a then 15 min, and 30 min. Someone calls it BMT - Big Money Trade.
When this happens on trading day, you can start with 20 pips SL at 5 min chart and target say 70-80% of daily ATR - be it 100 pips for example.
Anyway - I'm very interested in the LMT as this is close to my initial Forex trading idea: spend no more time than just several minutes daily. For European, a trading day is 15 hrs long! (07:00-22:00 GMT+1) And even if you stripe some hours, you still have time windows you need to observe during the long day, e.g. 07:00-12:00, then 14:30-17:00, 17:30-18:00...
It consumes MORE time than full time job! And how about your life?
    • alx
Many thanks Marc for this review.
I was very reluctant about the system. I hate daily charts as I don't want to keep open traded for days (swaps and Asia sessions are waste of money). If it works on 4hrs it's great.
Now, how about stops? On some demo I saw a trade with 100 pip Stop Loss and 95 pip Target. I don't like 100 pip stops. I worked out a method to keep initial stop more than 20 pip on EURUSD and trail it when on gain side.
    • hi alex. the stops on 4 hour trades are smaller probaly 40 pips average. on the daily charts 100/150 pips is not unusual, but you just reduce your stake accordingly. you can take a trade on the daily and then add to it with larger stake/smaller stops on the 4 hour as happened with the gbp/$ over the last 10 days. The daily signal is still going after 800+ pips but there have been 4 hour signals that you could have taken as well to add to your position. re your existing 20 pip stop system, this is completely different way of trading & a different mentality is needed. in my experienc ethe longer charts are often more profitable and certainly less stressful
    • suresh
I bought lmt yesterday and traded in daily chart as per signal.
Result was quite amazing. I know i need to be patient lets see what happens in 2 weeks time. I did mix your technique and lmt signal and result is quite amazing.
Could you please help me with further guidance regarding lmt signal.
I will write to you whatever i found about it later. Thanks
