Hi all LMT users!
Good news: the LMT H4 winning rate is constantly improving. It hit a level trading gives more satisfaction than frustration.
I’m changing my trade flag from Red: “no trade at all” to Yellow: trade with caution.
Keep in mind the trades are short lived – no time for big moves. Collect profits quickly, be sure to move to break even. Be careful with Daily signals – they so erratic it’s better to avoid. Markets are still sideways, daily signals don’t perform too good.

Hi Dan,
first of all I use every system separately. One of them is simple range breakout, couple of emas, 30.15 and 5 min charts.
The other is based on a commercial system I will not name. Not only I had to pay for it, but also write a lot of my code to make it work. And it works only in some special market conditions like today. If I was to buy it again – I would rather look for some free tools here and there.

I agree, yet it still seems to have held its own in a sideways market but as always discretion on whether to enter is always advised.

hat other systems do you use to compliment or replace LMT depending on market conditions? Other commercial systems or ones that you have developed yourself?

Hi Dan,
In June I took almost every trade but D1. I had days with H4 signals just flooding every hour. But this time is over now.
Now I’m very reluctant about every signal. I don’t take trades when I expect market reversals for example. I started to look for trades very early, about 02:00 – 03:00 GMT. I avoid trades after London LIBOR fix till the Japan lunch time. And still I don’t take trades that I don’t feel comfortable with.
Moreover, I unachieved couple of my other systems to find better trade opportunities. Please keep in mind: despite the LMT is amazing in swing market, it is still TRENDING system, not sideways system. And moreover, it is just ENTRY system. The exit is left on you. And this is the exit that makes profits.

Alx,

Just going back over some old posts on here and wondered how you are getting to these levels of return and whether you are still seeing these levels in the current sideways market?

I’m finding your e-mail alerts and charting service a god-send as it means I have something to reference when the alerts come up and when I’m at work or away from home. So so helpful to catch the good 4H signals that can emerge daily.

Do you trade every signal (within reason) and on each broker time frame and achieve these returns or are you being selective? In a different post you show the results for June-July with some 90-odd trades taken on 4H signals and a very high % win rate. Was that every signal taken or are you using some discretion?

Friday 10th July 2009: Today I did 119% on my balance. Again! Don’t ask me how many pips – I did so many trades I just can’t count them all
What’s more – it’s not the first time. It happens at least once per two weeks in sideways markets!

I bought the LMT formula around a month ago,unfortunatly it was not through your link as I only came across your blog today {30/06/09}
after doing a “LMT signal” search on google.Your blog with all its forex
articles,tips and observations is just fantastic……a godsend to us
inexperienced forex newbies.
I just wish I had come accross your blog sooner and had joined thru you
so that I could have benefitted from your advisory service.

hi simon. i update by email a few times a week ( email me to go on the list). there are articles here on the blog describing how to plan trades and trade examples. i also put tips advice on twitter during the day in real time (marc12001).

Re the red lines on metatrader there is a row of tools near the top of the screen. hover your mouse over the horizontal line. click on it. then move the mouse to where you wish to put the line. click the line. voila. if you wish to move it up or down, double click left button, grab it and move it. If you wish to change the colours etc double click left mouse. then right click. horizontal properties. You can change loads of things in there. same principal for all the metatrader tools. marc
