is oanda launching metatrader?

So I've been reading threads on ff and oanda forum about some rumors/confirmation that oanda will soon have metatrader.

I'm also wondering if this is true, then if there's going to be any difference from other metatrader platforms out there.

In theory it can be done, just like Dukascopy using a bridge, but I think it will be slower, unless of course OANDA itself decides to do this, but I do not think it is true.
If you Google together OANDA and Metatrader you will find posts going back to 2006 so maybe it is an urban legend.

I can confirm that the rumours about OANDA and MT4 are true. Late last year we started the development work on an MT4 bridge. We are currently testing it on Practice accounts and will follow that will a full launch.

If you decide to try it out let me know what you think.

I Have banned this "gentleman" Aesparza as he didn't have the courtesy to ask if he could post what in effect was an advert in another part of the forum & clearly broke the rules.

I have however left this post in place as its useful for members. Information that is helpful is great. Pitching your company without having the decency to ask is not, marc
