It looks like an amazing robot that was able to make a profit of 200% in just two months. Is it the next holly grail? Let's wait and see. We have it installed on our VPS and we are testing it.

Million Dollar Pips EA: The "Million Dollar Pips" EA is a newly released Forex Expert Advisor (EA) for MetaTrader 4. Like many EAs, this one is a scalper, meaning it tries to make small but frequent profits.

I have never been a fan of robots but there are a few of late that seem to be doing very well AND I am in contact with an Asian guy who trades a whole basket of eas, some of his own creation, and has doubled his account in both of the last two years.

This robot has made a staggering 200% account growth on a live account, verified on the MT4 stats site Myfxbook, and you can check out their page here – Million Dollar Pips Stats (scroll down to the myfxbook link).

In light of the recent horrible market conditions, this is really an amazing performance so far.

What’s also very good is that, while the system is running at a 65% win rate, this sets it apart from other scalpers - which depend on a 90%+ win rate just to stay even (these things normally risk 300-500 pips per trade to make less than ten, which is clearly idiotic).

Million Dollar Pips also doesn’t use hedging or Martingale – two of my other pet hates.

Obviously, these things can blow up at any time BUT it’s hard to ignore the rate of return. 200% in two months is incredible, although that gain incurred a 29% drawdown, so you may want to look at using a more conservative setting (e.g. quarter stakes means it would have had a maximum drawdown of a far more comfortable 7%) which means less profit but will probably mean you sleep better at night.

It’s also encouraging to see that the vendor’s are offering constant updates, upgrades and new settings to keep up with current market conditions, which is extremely important in my view.

I am also going to place it on a smaller "live account" and just leave it to see if it pays for the family summer holiday, or we are staying in the back garden! At the end of the day if we are to have any faith in an ea we have to be willing to put it on a real money account, but I wouldn't dream of doing it on a large account.

Seems to be some progress in EA making world. GrowthBot notoriously good, I watch the experiment of running it with Discipline Trader EA by Rune. I don't use FGB lately but plan to start using it again in August-September, but for 2.5 months I used it it actually made real money, and at some point I had basic setting of almost half standard lot per trade with it, it has its flaws but seems to be a quite smart and genuine application, definitely traded better than me same period (technically)!

i am having installation problems on my live account. the installation process hangs up. in spite of this the ea appears in the navigator section of ea's. if i attach it to the chart, it freezes metatrader completely. so far support have not been able to help. hope they can soon

Strange. Could it be that your firewall prevents the system to have access to the "outer" world? Because it needs to send information.
Is it running from a VPS? because vps are usually more strict in such matters?
Can you try and install it on another computer or broker?

im running on home pc whichis always on

In that case the firewall should not be a problem since you already used your computer with other robots.
Is it possible to install a "fresh" demo platform and try it from there?
