I know that Marc is a real trader and not a marketeer and he makes his living from trading.
    Hello, thanks for your reply.
Regarding profits from affiliations, thank you for pointing this out. My mistake.

Actually I did not make any multiplications in my mind, and have nothing against affiliate marketing. It is the way of the world, one just needs to sort the wheat from the chaff. I would certainly expect a forum of this calibre to have done this before posting links, though in fairness Simon did demonstrate a healthy degree of scepticism. Reputations take a long time to build, but can fall overnight!

My annoyance was more at being spammed. One does not expect this from a subscription service.

On the subject of LeoTrader, for those who have managed to 1. download it, 2. get it working, and 3. figured out what the input parameters, risk, min/max lot size and equitylimit mean, it has not yet traded.
Sincerely, best of luck to those of you who purchased. Personally, I would wait until end January at least. You can start doubling your account from February

    Grrrrrrrrr.
Why has the affiliate link to the Elevation Group appeared at the bottom and within my post?

It looks like I am endorsing it, which is not true!

Maybe its a neuron network of Leo Trader predicted that you will start endorsing Elevation group and decided to give you a jump start so by the time you decide to endorse it you already have a healthy affiliate payment from them!

Smile Leo Trader Pro Is Working...

Hi everyone, and welcome also to our newest members who found us through Google (this thread is currently number one on Google for the search term "leo trader pro forum"). I hope we can be of service.

I decided to leave this alone yesterday and wait until later on today. One of the reasons the launch was postponed was that there were problems with so many people connecting to the Neural Net servers. I think this is why they didn't make the EA (leotraderpro.ex4) file immediately available for download yesterday.

I managed to download it last night but the EAs connection to the server kept crashing. I have just tried it again now and it works:

    leotraderpro.gif

I suggest if you are having problems that you do the following:

    1) Ensure that the EA is set up as per the manual.
    2) Ensure that you change the default risk % to -2 (2%).
    3) Insert your eight digit Clickbank receipt number in the second last field from the bottom (ReceiptCode). This receipt number is in the email confirmation you get from Clickbank and will be an eight letter/number code starting with #. Remove the # and use the alpha-numeric section that follows it.
    4) Restart MetaTrader.

    Leo Trader should now work.

Please try the above steps and let me know if you still have problems.

    Simon.

Actually if they run their Neural networks on their servers and EA is just a bot to execute trades and display information, it might be something more than a regular robot. Vantage Point is also based on Neural networks and makes pretty accurate predictions. These technologies are employed for trading markets for a long time, but I think it can be more less accurate in predicting direction, but hardly can predict with any accuracy a SL and TP, so this is where they have to play it off using statistics or fixed values. But is it interesting, Simon, please keep us informed.

    Hi Simon,
I like the picture. I can imagine those bars go up and down and change colors. It must be impressive.
    Please do me a favor.
I am on my netbook and do not have your email and the VPS coordinates for the PipStack.
Could you please send me an email with them?
    Regards
    Vassilis

    Talking

    Interesting.

Simon, you use an affiliate link to make yourself/Dean/Marc/whoever money on this LeoTraderPro deal. Would it not be polite to point this out?

The link to the Elevation Group is also an affiliate link, another money spinner for you?

Marc sends me an email "The Most Important Video of 2010" pointing to the Elevation Group video. Okay not a problem, watched, and some interesting points.

But then a few days later another email from Marc called "They're Pulling the Plug." Huh? I received the first mail, why tell me again? Oh yes, more affiliate marketing (spamming).

Then a third email from Marc "Important News Re: The Elevation Group." Why are you sending the same message 3 times? Watch the video and in the last few minutes of the video it becomes clear.

And for those looking to purchase LeoTraderPro, it is having some teething problems as Simon is clearly experiencing. I would save your money until the New Year, and see what happens!
    Hi Mort,

    Thanks for your comments.

I would firstly like to explain that we have made it abundantly clear in the past - on the main site, the Blog and this Forum - that Marc and I use affiliate links for products. However, we do NOT get any benefit from this whatsoever. It's simple: if you want to buy a product, please do so through our link. That way we can pay for bandwidth, servers, technical staff and the innumerable costs that are associated with running this website.

If Marc and I were running this as a business we would be extremely poor business people. To date for 2010, we are probably around $8,000 out of pocket for costs and have received nothing for our time.

Additionally, we aren't promoting Leo Trader. I am genuinely interested in it and want to try it - hence I bought a copy and am testing it here. The intention is not to sell you the product. If anything, I am trying to save other people their time and money. If it DOES turn out to be good, and you want to buy it, then please do buy it through our link as it will help pay for the site. Every sale we get keeps this website going, and I'm sorry that we have to do this, but we wouldn't be able to afford to keep this site going otherwise.

In the last two-three weeks, we have had certain affiliates (who shall remain nameless) who have told you that robots are useless and don't work (copylivetrades.com), told you THIS is the best robot ever (Pips4Idiots) and that THIS is the best robot ever (LeoTraderpro). No doubt the same people will be filling your inbox in January with emails saying how dreadful robots are! You may notice that we have not sent ANY emails about these products, but have tried to test them to see if there is any substance to the hype and save our members money. The one product we did "promote", was a free video for the Elevation Group that we happened to think was awesome. It was FREE and we never bashed anyone over the head saying BUY THIS NOW. We honestly thought that you would enjoy the free content - and from the feedback we have got via email, the majority of our members did.

Additionally, what is happening with Leo Trader Pro has happened before. To date, we have received zero sales of this EA. Yet I got contacted on Skype by three different people wanting technical support for it today! And the crazy thing is, I HELPED them!

So we offer tech support to people who didn't even buy from us (and tech support that is better than that supplied by the vendor after the launch), we test products at our own expense and using our own valuable time and then we get criticized for promoting products to pay for the site!

This isn't meant as a complaint - Marc and I love this website and the community, which is the only reason we do it. Regarding the Elevation Group: I am sorry we emailed you perhaps excessively, BUT the last time we promoted a product that was only around for a short while (John Assaraff - which Marc and I are both members of and we thought was AWESOME) we got dozens of emails from people complaining that we hadn't made more of a song and dance and that they had missed out. It only goes to show that you can't please all of the people all of the time.

Finally, this missive wouldn't be complete without paying tribute to raa, Vassilis, Pierre, Thomas, Yick and many others (sorry if I didn't name you here) who give so freely of their time to make this site an island of awesomeness in a sea of...hmmm better not say!

    Simon.

Sorry Mort, you shouldn't have received that many emails. We sent one to new people and one to other members. There must be a problem with the emailing system OR you are on our database twice.

If you can send me an email to simon@forex-fxtrader.com I will check and remove any duplicate email addresses for you - or I can remove your email addresses from our database completely if they are unwanted.

    Kind regards,

    Simon.

Post Maybe Neural Networks is True?

    Hi raa,

Yes, I think there is something clever with this EA - unlike Pips4Idiots that didn't have a .dll file associated with it.

If they have been smart, they will use Dean's technique of placing stops above/below a recent high. If they are REALLY smart, they might use pivots for profit taking.

Anyway, I am really intrigued. I will of course keep you in the loop. I need to change the current MT4i from the investor account to this live account and see how it does.

I'll do that shortly and then we can track actual perforance (and hopefully work out what it does).

    Simon.
