Thank you for your reply. I visited the site. It looks interesting. I will have to ask them what is the minimum lot size they accept.
What is your experience with them?
Are the spreads as low as they advertise?

First trading day with BP, finally discovered why it wasn't trading and I was positively surprised.

I installed BP on an Alpari UK standard account, where the minimum size you are allowed to open is 0.1 Lots. My balance around 1000 Eur was not enought for BP to trade safely so, in addition to show me a warning saying that it was not reccomended to trade with this lot size and the current amount it just retained from trading.

I moved BP on a micro account (0.01 minimum size) with 1000 Eur on it and it started trading, allowing me to collect an amazing 2.3 Euros yesterday!

So, seems that BP is very defensive and despite the martingale-like approach will not allow you to do stupid things.
I also attached BP to USDJPY chart (recommended only for accounts over 4000$) and guess what.....it does not trade on that PAIR showing a nice error for insufficient balance
Well, at least if it burns out your account now you know the EA is the only one to blame, you didn't do any misconfiguration

It is only the first day, but I have a very good feeling with this bot. Definetively the support is not good enought....I had to figure this out by myself even if I gave all infos to support.

No trades yet for HighVoltage, moved on a different Micro Account. It definetively does not have all the above protection triggers, it should be something closer to a pure martingale system.

Note for Simon: I noticed from your MT4Stat that you are trading HighVoltage on USDJPY pair ....in the user manual only EURUSD is mentioned. Did you get this instructions from support?

    Have a nice day
    Francesco

    Hi Francesco,

Glad you got your EA working!

The notes I have from the Forexbulletproof programming team say:

"Both robots trade the EURUSD and USDJPY currency pairs at
the M1 timeframe. The required minimum for trading EURUSD alone is
$450 and the required minimum for trading both EURUSD and USDJPY
    simultaneously is $4000."

This may be a typo - I see that our High Voltage has now done 1% growth but most of that was thanks to EURUSD. I'm not sure which info is correct? If the user manual says EURUSD only then perhaps we should remove USDJPY - however I can leave it on if people want us to test it. Let me know.

Capsmart - Jade are a good broker - their platform is excellent, the support friendly and I have been told by several people that they are reliable re: withdrawals. Regarding account sizes, please take a look here - JadeFX Automated Forex Trading Brokers

I would give them a call and chat to them - they are very friendly and will answer any queries you might have.

    Simon.

    Hi Simon,

I'm a little bit confused now. From the user manual I got that HV works on EURUSD only and on M15.

Bad results you are having on USDJPY suggests me that this could be a wrong pair. I removed it from my live account...maybe you can have these details from support and share with us.

Just a last question: are you running the "aggressive" or "high risk" version of HV?

Thank you very much for your valuable help in figuring out if this bot works or not

    Best
    Francesco

    Hi Macuba,

have a look at my post above.

Double check if you have any warning about lot sizing.

    Smile No trade on Friday

NiceThursday on my BP live account.

I had two 7Pips trades by BP (the one on EURUSD pair)
I also had three trades by CloveriX bot (it trades EURGBP & EURCHF)

    details here:
    https://www.myfxbook.com/portfolio/robots/47959

High Voltage Aggressive got a 15Pips trade ganing 8 Eur on my "High risk" account.

Finally understood why me and Simon are running different settings on HV: I'm running the "aggressive" flavor, he is running the "high risk".

Quick chat with support to know what I have to do with these bots on Friday. They told me the bots don't trade on Friday and Monday morning.

    See you Tuesday

    Francesco

Nice pricing, but no US customers. They wont even allow me to check out their site. FxPro is anouther one with great spreads, but they no longer allow US customers either.

Default Bank holiday: EAs on or off?

Today is US bank holiday. FB trades, in my installation, only on EURUSD, I'm wondering if I should turn the ea off because of holiday.

As you know I'm new to forex, any advice/experience about bank holidays? can them negatively affect EA results?

About brokers: I was impressed by IAMFX spreads. 0.7 on EURUSD. They also offer free VPS to run your bots.
