Bad results you are having on USDJPY suggests me that this could be a wrong pair. I removed it from my live account...maybe you can have these details from support and share with us.

Just a last question: are you running the "aggressive" or "high risk" version of HV?

Thank you very much for your valuable help in figuring out if this bot works or not

    Hi Francesco,

Yes, as you have correctly identified:

"High Voltage Risky Bulletproof Robot works on EURUSD M1 and USDJPY M1
High Voltage Agressive Robot works on EURUSD M15"

So you are using the Aggressive settings, we are using the Risky settings.

If you would be so kind, let us know how you re getting on with those, I'll keep these settings going now we have some trading history.

On Marc's recommendation, I have switched from MT4stats to MT4i - it gives you far more information about the trades.

Our updated live tracking of the accounts for these two EAs is below:

MT Intelligence - Live Testing of Forex Bulletproof

MT Intelligence - Live Testing of Forex High Voltage

By the way, the account with Forex Highvoltage fell over for some reason - I only noticed this afternoon so we may have missed some trades on that one today.

    Hi Simon,

no prob in exposing HighVoltage Aggressive results

    HighVoltage System | Myfxbook

unfortunately this account was not "clean". HV trading starts on 09.02.2010 15:46 and at from that moment on is the only EA running on this account.

As can be easily spotted it is a pure martingale system. After losing 46Eur on 09.03.2010 16:04 it opened a crazy (for a 1k balance) 0.5 position, recovering the entire loss (lucky me).
Of course it is VERY risky, and, as stated in the manual, should not be used as "your safe bot" but as a tool to create some money quickly or burn out your account.
It is stated in the user manual that the best way to use it should be to let him double your account and then move half of the money away and restart. Be ready do re-fill your account with the money hopefully you gained the first time if it burns-out your balance.

I will also made public what I consider my "main account"
There are 2 bots running on int, BulletProof & Cloverix. It's easy to spot who's doing what because BP only works (on this account size) on EURUSD, while Cloverix only works on EURCHF & EURGBP pairs.

    have a nice day

    Francesco,

To address your previous question. Of course, you have to be careful trading around any major holidays. I dont care what pair you are trading. This goes for bank holidays and non bank holidays. ie The entire month of August is considered a bank holiday in my opinion. As is the week of Christmas to new year, all Jewish holidays, any major US or European holiday, basicaly anytime the market might not be acting as normal.

This especialy true for these short term scalping style EA's. Without the usual liquidity, and the usual traders, you dont always get the usual responces, and this can cause many problems. This new EA may survive this fine, Megadroid seems to coast through these times with no problems, it simply doesnt trade on its own. FAP-T always had problems with any disturbance. It really depends on the style, filters, and sensitivities of the program.

When something becomes more aggressive it becomes more dangerous too. This is pretty much a universal truth. Aggressive programs, like aggressive people or anything else need to be kept on a short leash and watched constantly.

Thanks for the input about the Martingale feature. This is something that has been bothering me since following a link to a posting on anouther forum that damned BulletProof as a Martingale system. Does this hold true for the regular Bulletproof also? I didnt buy it. I would no longer buy anything from these people, or this kind of marketing campaign, without solid long term proof that it and anything conected to it isnt just anouther money grabbing marketing scam.

I'm sorry, I dont mean to down the EA. As I said, I dont own it. I'm just very jaded agaist all the affiliate marketing push, and Forex marketing in general.

Anyone that cant make their money honestly, and has to sell to make a profit is out of my book. The people I like and value are the ones who give just because they can.

well, the short answer YES but let me be clear on how it works

-High Voltage Aggressive: is the most risky product of the suite, it is totally martingale but one of the few parameters you can setup is the maximum lot size, so it will try to recover from the loss respecting this parameter. In any case it is RISKY!, it is clearly stated in the manual and even before you buy. Again, the goal of this bot is to give you a tool to "bet" on the market and possibly make some money quickly, so that you can fund you REAL account, the one that (hopefully) will continue to grow on the long period.

-BulletProof: it will increment the lot size in a way that is not linear with your balance growth, but I cannot really define it as "martingale". I've seen from the backtest I ran that if it lose it will increase the lot size, but will not mathematically double it, and will not continue to double untill the first win. There must also be some sort of "risk calculator"into the bot. Look at my statement: I had a couple of trades at 0.04 lots (proper size for my balanace), then I had a trade (winner) of only 0.01 lots (and at a strange time, since BP only operates from 19 to 23 normally).
Overall I consider this bot safe. As I wrote in this post the commitment the team put in protecting the investor from himself was clear to me when the bot refused to trade on an account that only accept 0.1 as minimum lot size and that was funded only with 1k......despite my best attempt to configure it to ignore this fact

Hi The Berr, sorry I missed your post and didn't reply sooner.

So far Hippo is kicking their butts (maybe that should be eating..?) but it's early days and too early to make definitive judgements.

Hope this is what you wanted.

BTW, Glasgow is one of my favourite cities ever.

    Simon.

If you are interested in joining this EA test, you can buy Forex Bulletproof through our link - Forex Bulletproof and Forex High Voltage
Doing so enables us to pay for a VPS, our hosting and maybe a coffee with what's left.

    Question

    Francesco,

Thanks for you message the other day. I didn't get the same trades as you for some reason - no idea why.

I checked and the EAs were running so that wasn't the reason.

I also said it might have been due to not trading Fridays being set as a parameter but I was getting mixed up with the Hippo.

Have a good weekend all and thanks for contributing to this Forum!

    Simon.

Anybody still using fx Bulletproof? What are the results? Will it work
w/ Interbank FX platform (they don't allow preset TP/SL on market/instant orders)?
