    MT Intelligence - Statement for capsmart

    The first day the robot made 10 trades and closed with a profit of 40 dollars of profit.
    I do not understand the exact logic of the system.
    What I noticed is that it started with a big loss of 160 dollars even if at times it was loosing more than 360 dollars from both open trades.
    Then it went again long on both pairs and recovered the loss making about 170 dollars profit.
    And then it made another 6 trades of 4 dollars each that looks like what the EA "likes" to do.
    Now there are no open trades.

    sounds like a sort of grid trading system with re-hedging/reverse. any long time in a tight range can destroy it..
    i am seeing something similar at my managed account with currensee, wnsor hoang accounts a and h. it was opening a lot of small trades in both direction until some defenite move happened on eurusd. no sl no tp.

    I have some negative trades open over weekend, but that is ok, because the trades it opens are not the same for everybody, because it checks the market at different times, depending on your broker. I use Forex.COM (demo) with 12 hour interval.

    I am attaching a print screen of the trades so that you can see how the robot "thinks"
    First it went long then when it was loosing a lot still "convinced" that the trend was long opened two more long positions. When it was to break even it closed both with a small profit and then started the 4 dollar profit series.

    Default Crescendo ------VPS

    I have been running this EA for a week now. Am yet to undrestand also the logic behind it. Looks like it keeps opening trade in the same direction even if the other trade is in negative once the systerm logic determins the trend. Am set on 12Hrs.
    I missed the EA closing the trade it took at 10pm GMT on GBP yEn because my computer decided to go into herbernate mode.
    Before I use this on Live will definately need a VPS . Any suggestions.

    Thats prety interesting statement. If I got it right your:
    1. Pip value is $1.
    2. You have a $10k acount balance .
    3. Lot is 0.1
    4. Profit target $4( which for 10K should be $40 any way)

    My question is from you statement some profits are >than $4. How then does it decide when to take profit at $4 ore more

    Default Understanding?

    Understanding the process is indeed a challenge. Andrea has a trading algorithm based on a trend identification (which I have not identified). The EA opens the trade based on his trading algorithm and if it hits the profit target then the trade is closed. If, however, the trade is in a loss position then when the next time check arrives, I THINK it will open a new trade in the same direction (I think this may only occur if it has moved a certain number of pips from the previous trade open - 60 might be the default). The EA will continue to open new trades at each time check if the criteria are met until all the open trades end in an overall profit at which time they are closed, or the maximum draw down is reached. Because the market moves in waves (we hear all about Fibonacci retracements) and the market doesn't "often" go straight up or down, we can feel "confident" that the trades will reverse before the maximum draw down is reached. I would presume the more testing you do, the more confident you feel.

    I did hear back from support (thank you very much) and I am now authorized, I just haven't traded yet. I haven't yet worked out how it deals with mini accounts. I have a feeling that it may not know whether you are trading a regular account or a mini account. So if you have $1000 account and want to trade .01 standard lot, you may need to trade .10 of a mini lot. I don't know this for sure. I will have to wait and see what it opens for a .01 trade on a mini lot account. It doesn't seem to recognize anything smaller than .01 (no .005 or the like in a micro account). This is all still an open item and I will let you know what I definitively find out.

    Capsmart,

    I looked at your trades and can't figure something out. In looking at Andrea's trading results, all of the trades are made at 0:00 or 12:00. Some of your trades are made at 12:00, but some are made at 15:00 and one at 2:21??. Did you set the frequency at "4" meaning twice a day at the very beginning and leave it there? Just trying to make sure I understand as much as I can. Do you have it on the automatic mode or the manual mode? Thanks.

    @RollieRoger
    I have it on automatic every 12 hours. I do not know why it is different because I am not watching it all the time.
    Like today I checked the VPS and the platform crashed so I had to restart it and therefore the new trades will have a different time.
    Maybe I turned the platform off and on when I was trying to install MT intelligence. Anyway we will have to wait and see how the robot works

    @FreedomSeeker
    Why will I have to change the profit to 40 dollars?
    Concerning the different amounts I think there is a difference between the moment the close order is issued by the EA and the trade is executed.

    What I would like to see is a loosing trade to properly evaluate it.

    @ Freedom Seeker.
    You are correct about the 40 dollars. I did not see it.
    I will change it as soon as I can (no open trades)
