Which broker are you using? real or demo?

    Hi,

My broker is GoMarkets (Australia) - real account.

Yes, I think the discrepancies have to do with the actual entry prices - in my case the 2300 GMT entry time is a bit early in the morning for me (still asleep ) and my entries have been up to an hour later. From memory, in both the cases you cite, my later entries resulted in me getting in at "better" prices than was the case at 2300 GMT. Accordingly the EA levels on my trades were achieved before they would have been, had I taken the trades at the prescribed time.

Having said all that, today's AUDJPY was a loser and today's GBPJPY is also looking a bit sick at the moment.

    gbpjpy, gbpusd, audjpy
    - all have a loss % which is much greater than the full take profit %
    - they have only broken even to date dute to 2nd targets being hit (particularly gbpusd)

conclusion: unless this changes (& it may...), they are not worth trading. If you do decide to trade, use a smaller risk %.

Yes, I had come to similar conclusions. I think I might stick to only EURAUD for the time being - the others can be a bit scary.

Smile Eur/Aud Way out in Front

Hi Yick & Macella, my wife also won on the Euro/Aud you mention. Often at daily candle close there is an initial pullback so sometimes she waits to see if it moves the other way first.

A friend of mine mainly takes the Euro/Aud and has done very well with this for 3 months now. He stopped taking the Gbp/Yen as it never seemed to get to target & it promptly won!(its too big in my opinion). What he does now is takes that pair but scales out. if you look at the stats it shows all the win ratios & a brilliant break down . Go to this page: Forex Trade Alarms

Then click on the Donna Forex graph, then stats, then symbol it gives the break down of profit factor/win ratio for all. The Euro/Aud is way out in front with a profit factor of 3.85 & the Aud/Jpy by far the the worst with only 0.74, regards, Marc

Is EURAUD somewhat more predictable currency pair like EURGBP? Or it is likely that their system works best on EURAUD?

Just a quick question: Are ALL the signals given at 23 GMT DST or 23 GMT?

Can I set the robot to only trade EURAUD?

The robot itself is not doing the trading, as far as I can see, rather its managing the trade. (Wouldn't we all rather be managers..)
So in this case you yourself set the orders to buy/sell. If you only want to trade eur/aud then just enter trades for this pair and not the others..

I am just stsrting this service up on a VPS, but today is NFP and before the weekend so I think I'll leave it alone for today.
Also I believe the 23:00 timing is GMT, which is not a great timing for me either. I will experiement with setting the trades at 7am GMT the next morning..

    Enjoy

Please let us informed about your results with setting the trade at the end of overnight range. If it works this service would interest me as well. I had to abandon it next day I tried, as it is simply unrealistic for me to put trades every day in a middle of a night.

I might scale out of trades earlier when I start using my live account. Today I could have pocketed 40-50 piups in the late morning, but in the late afternoon after the NFP news, it went to SL. I guess there is no wrong trading on a NFP Friday as long as you close your trades before the news are dropped.

Atle, it depends on the direction of your trend and a market anticipation of the news. NFP especially will start gaining in a direction of the consensus, thus it may destroy any technical analysis you put, that does not take into account NFP expected figure. Knowledge is the power, when you are aware of the facts and expectations, you can use market anticipation of news and exploit when market prices in the rumors. Buy the rumors sell the news.
