    Default Anyone used FXopen ?

    Dear traders,

I was wondering if anyone is or has traded with them.

They claim to offer ECN execution for accounts as low as 1000USD.
I am inclined to go with them, but a little wary about them being based in Mauritius, and going through a Cyprus bank.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Irena

    I am with Go Markets
The spreads are pretty good. And the bank is National Bank of Australia.
The top 4 banks in Australia are the top 10 safest banks in the world.

    Hello Irena
And welcome to the forum. I would suggest that you have a look at forexpeacearmy concerning fxopen. From what I see people are not happy with them. My advice. Choose a big broker even if you have to pay an extra pip. Since we are not scalpers it will make no difference.
The lowest spreads in the market are from OANDA. Very good reputation, fast execution but no MT4. You will have to use a demo account for your analysis and OANDA for trading. Other big and well known brokers that I could suggest are IBFX, FXCM, Alpari UK, GFT just to name a few.

In addition, Marc also recommends ATC Brokers, it's ECN and they have MT4 bridge. It is here, ATC Brokers | Home

Also, Ducascopy for some time is running MT4 bridge in beta testing mode, they are one of the biggest ECN brokers with L2 data. And yeah, Girard Depardeu trades with them Now they allow accounts from as low as 1000 USD (used to be 25K in the beginning AFAIK)

Has anyone tried Tadawul using a live account? I'm looking for information beyond what FPA and other questionable review sites offer. Thanks in advance for any response.

I am afraid Bob it will be difficult to find someone using this broker.
May I ask why you want to use him?
From their site I can see that they offer MT4 which is good if you want to use the available tools.
From what I see the management team are Lebanese, Cypriots, Ukrainians and their head office is in Cyprus. Is it the best combination you could find?

    Vassilis,
I've been looking at the brokers associated with Aslan. Being in the US, I want a broker outside the US. Aslan appears to work with three that allow US accounts--MIG Bank (MT4 but I haven't read many positive comments), Dukascopy (no MT4 but many positive comments), and Tadawul (MT4 with mixed comments). Do you know if Cyprus has strengthened its regulatory agency?

    I do not really know.
In that case I would suggest Dukas. Do your analysis on MT4 and use Dukas to trade. I do the same with OANDA.
All platforms allow you to draw emas, fibs and trendlines but of course not all indicators will run on those platforms.

Thanks, Vasillis. I've been doing just that--using a MT4 demo platform and making trades on a Dukascopy demo account. I'm at the point where I want to open a live account and like everyone else, I'm trying to avoid a broker who is less than honest. Have you tried the MT4/JForex bridge?

No I am just using the JForex platform. It offers P&F charts and I like it.
I have MT4 live account with Alpari. That case I get "real" and not demo data and I avoid the problems with expiring demos.
