    Default Your Fib values

    Hi Marc,

I would love you to post your fib values, as I can't get my fib tool (MT4) to draw the lines the way your does.
    Please post the settings here

    Thank you in advance,

    Michael

Hi Michael, to change the settings you put a fib on a chart. then double click on the fib line so that the box appears at either end. right click and go to fib levels. in there you will see the standard settings eg level 0.236 and to the right 23.6. double click on the right hand number which will change colour and type in 78.6. just go thro the various settings and adjust the descriptions. to add more lines just click on add. my numbers are 0, 78.6, 61.8, 50, 38.2,23.4 100, 121.4 161.8. 200 261.8. hope that solves it. tip for everyone re metatrader: there are loads of videos on youtube that give loads of tips on how to use it, marc

    Hi Marc,

Thank you for the explanation. I only needed the numbers, but others reading the thread might very well find the guide useful.

    You're great

    Hi Marc

Trying to get my fib values to match yours - there are only 9 settings on the default (you have 11) , so we can click add to add another value, but the value is give as 0, so what must the value be please? Also can we save these fib setting so we don't have to go thrpough this performance everytime?

    Thanks

    Hi Vivienne:
At the given value of 0, type in the value you want using the formats already there as a guide. For example, to get 121.4, type under "Level" 1.214. To get 71.6 type 0.716

If you're like me and want $ values to appear along with the numbers, under "Description" place a couple of spaces, percent sign and dollar sign, for example "121.4 %$".

..also don't worry about where the new levels you add appear in the Fibo box when you edit it. It will show up correctly on the charts. The properties save so you don't have to keep updating it.

Hi viv. you just keep adding. eg 200 would be 2.0 then 200 in the description. once you have done this meta4 will remember for the future, marc
