Multiple (Demo) Accounts

Hello All,

I am trying to figure out how to get multiple demo accounts on on MetaTrader 4 platform. I think I downloaded MetaTrader from Mark's site, and opened a UWC-Demo.com account.

Now I went online and registered for an FXCM account. When I try to Open Account in MetaTrader, the only server I see is from UWC. Not sure how to get around this. I downloaded the MetaTrader executable from the FXCM website, and then the correct server appeared, but having multiple instances of MetaTrader seemed cumbersome.

I am trying to dry out different brokers before I consider getting a live account. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

I don't know what is causing your problem, because when I was demo trading, I was using several demo accounts from different brokers, and yes, it was MT4 platform. I had no problems like that.

you can enter a server you need manually, not necessary to select from the list. Also you can download different customized MT4s from respective brokers and run on the same PC.

Yes - I was told that each version of MT4 is customised by the broker you got it from so you have to run several versions; I know - it's clumsy rather than just switching between different accounts on the same MT4.

AFAIK they are not really customized rather branded and have pre-set server list and new demo registration. I believe you can enter a server manually and switch between accounts from different brokers on the same application.
