Hi Pharoh777 and crew

New member here! I have read through a lot of bots post and you guys seem friendly and informative. I am a long time trader or stocks and options, but new to Forex. I recently started to become more attracted to Forex as I work all day and can't easily trade stocks and options. Another draw is that I have a computer science background and have found EA bots very interesting.

I am looking for some friendly guidance as to weather an EA is good or bad for me I have seen the posts on FAP Turbo, Droid, and Million Pips and they seem that if the market conditions are correct they can be profitable. I currently run Think or Swim and they do not have a MT4. They use something called Think Script, but I was thinking of eventually opening another account and trying. Have any of you guys traded Forex on TOS? I am basically looking for ways to trade when not at work so either around 7PM EST or be able to automate my trades if this is a good option. Just looking for some opinions of what people think

Thank you for taking the time to post!! I want you to know that there is no finer place with nicer people to discuss all of our EA issues with than here. I will be VERY glad to help you in any way I can achieve success with EAs and any other facet of trading that I am able to. Welcome aboard my friend!!

Ahhhh, where to start? That's a tough one. Ok, if I were to pick ONE EA to get, it would have to be Forex Growth Bot. It's not expensive, and we have had wonderful success trading it this year so far. We have even gone so far as to start expanding which pairs and timeframes we can use it on. We have a couple of different demo tests and the results are VERY encouraging. I also use it live and with my custom settings, we are putting up some impressive gains with little drawdown. Of course the other three EAs you mentioned are all ones that I own and personally use with my own money. We are also experimenting with some new products (pssst.... I'm waiting for a response from the vendor of yet another new EA and we'll add it to the list of new products to test very soon if they say yes to giving us a copy to play with) and the best part is, YOU DON'T HAVE TO RISK YOUR MONEY!! Let me do the testing FIRST, then, if it's good, we can all get it for our live accounts and make money with it. As people that have been following the "due diligence" threads for a while know that some new EAs can be real stinkers!! But I invite you to see the "test lab" so to speak:

And about Think or Swim I have never personally used them. I learned forex with MT4 and that's all I've ever used. There are some drawbacks that unscrupulous brokers can exploit, but other than that, it's pretty good at running everything I need it to. I imagine there is someone here with more experience to help you out with that subject!

Hi Omar,

Thanks for the links to the threads I will check them out! When checking out TOS I noticed that they have to options for orders in forex. They have commission based and non commission based with bigger spreads. I feel with commissions they are a little less likely to be shady! Do you have any MT4 broker suggestions? I am new to MT4 also. I am guessing these platforms also allow you to run on a remote server if you want (hate for my machine to decide to shut itself off )? I look forward to learning a lot!
