    Well done Boys!!!
I am a bit miffed as my FGB did not trade at all. Since that rogue trade that I closed manually for a small loss it has not traded.Any offers Omar as to why? My computer for some reason is running very very slowly could that be the cause.
Anyway congrats I am away to check my settings.
    Cheers
    Patrick

Bad luck Patrick. Hope you get it sorted soon. Have you cleared cache and cookies on your computer? that can usually speed it up a bit.

Hi, no cache and cookies cleared. I was running dropbox and that was really slowing me down. I checked the settings and they are still the same as before apart from the risk which I increased. The FGB is showing version 1.6 and active within profile. The only other thing I can think is the fact I was on another profile when your trades were triggered. I might place the Bot on VPS that way I should not have any problems. I will wait to hear from Omar then have another look at it.
Anyway well done Boyo. I am currently just up the road from you in West Wales at a little place called Dale near Haverfordwest do you know it??
    Cheers

    Hi Guys!!

Patrick. When you close a trade manually, you must restart MT4 to refresh FGB. Also, if you have a concern about a rogue trade, you can always modify the order and put in a hard stop. That way, you have an emergency stop in case the trade has gone rogue. This is the single issue that plagues most FGB users. The performance though seems to be worth this flaw, and there are many successful manual traders that their ONLY EA is FGB. We can't be lazy trading EAs just as we can't be lazy trading manually. So Patrick, I commend you on paying attention to what was going on with your account and taking the appropriate action necessary to protect your trades and your hard-earned $$$. Remember the goal is for YOU to make money, not let an EA run your trading. I am going to try to be as hands-off as possible, but you don't have to be. Even saying that though, I had to close what must have been a rogue trade. My cut-off is 60 pips in a slow market and I could probably be more aggressive than that. As far as you not picking up today's trades, worry not!!! Very strange market and maybe you didn't get enough push on your broker to fire the trades.

John, I have learned oh the hardest, of hard ways NOT to let trades stay open over the weekend without being deep in profit first!! Here's a scenario that happened to me: I left 2 FGB trades over the weekend that were -20 pips in the hole each. I didn't want to damage the numbers from my week's trading (I think I had just put up a marginal gain that week) AND I thought, well, the market seems to be trending in my direction so what the heck. I put a extra 20 pips stop behind where they were as a "worst case scenario" (or so I thought). Remember, POLITICIANS DON'T TAKE THE WEEKEND OFF. Sunday, a major news announcement happened for the EUR and the market GAPPED against my orders by more than 100 pips and jumped my stop!!! My two -20 orders became -140 EACH at the open of the market and instead of closing a -40 pip loss, I took a -280 pip blast to my account!! And I have seen gaps of 200-300 pips on Sunday!!!! Don't get caught. It's NOT worth it. If you are deep (+120 or more) in profit then it's a judgement call, BUT I offer this. If you open the week with a trade, it gives you a bias. If you were short the EUR last week, and you have a short open, even though the information at hand might suggest LONG, you might just hang on to your trade and the bias that goes with it. If you start the week fresh with no trades open, you tend to be much more objective about market view and therefore aren't committed to anything and can make the best decisions. This is just a personal thing that has helped me. I hope it helps you. Anyway, now that I've gone and scared you a little I really hope the trade opens 300 pips in your favor or at least opens positive for you so you can start next week with a quick gain!!!

I appreciate both your support and contributions to the forum. Together we will go far with FGB. We are just getting started kids!!!

Hi Omar, Yes I agree but it wasn,t really intentional to leave it. it was a long and the way things are with the Greeks vote it could go either way. Just got to hope its my way. I will not be doing it again.
Have you tried the wave following on FGB? does it work? Just curious as to whether it is of any use. How does it actually affect the trade?

    Regards
    John

Hi John!! I have a good feeling your trade will work out. I wasn't trying to rib you or scare you, I just thought I might share my thoughts on that for other people that might be wondering whether trades should be rolled over the weekend. As far as wave trailing goes, it was part of the original reason I purchased the power version upgrade from the original. Everyone whom I spoken with that have run extensive tests on the numbers, unanimously agree that for the 15-minute FGB, wave trailing returns less profit overall. I still like the concept, but people much smarter than me have told me that I shouldn't use it. As far as the actual mechanism, I really can't comment but it should work as the move gets made, retraces and then moves again, the stop is moved instead of a simple % trailing stop.

I hope this helps my friend!! (you totally kicked my butt on Friday returns as you will see from the next post)

    Kindest Regards,
    Omar Eltoukhy

Default Forex Growth Bot (FGB) EA Live Trade Update 02/10/2012

Hi All!!! Sorry I didn't list trades for Friday until now, but I have to work my other job on the weekend while the market is closed so I can't really do much work for updates until Sunday morning. But nonetheless, the Friday trades were profitable although Munnyman (John), had better results than me. I will be perfectly happy if we all make $$$ and y'all make more than me!

Forex Growth Bot (FGB) Live Update 02/10/2012:

    Trade 1) +16.5
    Trade 2) +17.6
    Trade 3) +17.7

    Total Pips: +51.8 Pips

Total Pips For Week: +109.9 Pips
Total Gain % For Week: +2.41%
    Total Gain % For Month:+1.19%
Total Gain % For Year: -1.14%

Looking much better. This was a very small set of wins as far as FGB goes and still pulled in over a 100 pips for the week. I'm thinking we are going to enjoy these new settings very much!!

Also, if anyone decides to trade the 5-minute settings, please let me know. OR if someone wants me to use 5-minute settings on demo, LET ME KNOW! The trick is with 5-minute settings you can only unleash them during faster markets otherwise it will take a bunch of bad trades and trickle money out the back door. I am kind of curious to see if we can use FGB 5-minutes like a sniper during NY open or something. I need feedback on this and if we should start another thread or not just for that topic.

I hope this week is a monster for all of us!!!
