good momentum move that are needed for this ea to work making sustainable fast moves come with volume which is absent now. things may change in a coupke of weeks.

Absolutely Raa!! Spot on as always. This was a VERY quiet week for this EA (of course the one we start live trading on!). We need fast, big momentum moves for this one to strike and win. I am very happy to see that it has stayed out of the current conditions. I am looking forward to seeing how this operates when we get the volume back. Hopefully that is less than a month away now. We will see. I will be watching this one closely.

    Default Live trade update!!!

    Hi Everyone!!

Just a quick update. The live account got a couple of trades on Friday that interestingly enough the Demo did not. They were both winners!!!

I am very happy to see that happen and gives me more confidence that after a STUNNING performance on the demo account, that we will have similar results live!! It is WAAAYYYY too early in our live testing phase to see if that is true or not, but at least so far, the only reason we are down is a little bit of slippage from the first order we got live (Gbp/Usd not surprisingly). The last two orders traded were of the Eur/Usd variety. I hope we can see some big wins given the right markets live and add this to the "Power Portfolio". Just need to see a little bit longer track record live. Of course check out both accounts!!!

WOW!! Of course, I didn't have the live account going (I won't start it until early Euro session Tuesday because of holiday week) and BLAMO, the Shark bit and made another great gain on the demo.

Late last week, our live account got some Shark trades that lost but only minor. The main problem was that one of the trades slipped around 2 pips otherwise the loss would have been much smaller. I am impressed so far that Shark EA really ONLY loses around 2 pips like they claim. I imagine we will see some good trades during NFP possibly!! Let's see what happens!!

Default Winner, Winner...Chicken Dinner!!!! YAAYYY LIVE TRADE UPDATE!

Hi Everyone!!! We got our first REAL win today on the LIVE, real-money account!!! In fact, the trade produced a 3.20% gain from one trade that lasted less than half a minute!!! Awesome!!!

We are now positive for the live test and approaching the 40% gain mark on the demo. This certainly was a sleeper because I had never really heard of it until the vendor suggest I take a look at it. I'm glad we did!!!

If this EA produces a few more trades like this I will be moving this folder to the "portfolio" section and including it in the "Power Portfolio". Let's hope we can do that soon!!!!

Default Hey Ma....Pass the Pips Please!!!! LIVE TRADE UPDATE!

Wow!! What a nice surprise today!! This of course comes with a major caveat. EA Shark absolutely made a MONSTER gain today!! In fact, it put an additional +4.04% in the LIVE account just today!! Here's how the trades went down:

    Trades: 5
Gain in Pips and %: +21.7 Pips and +4.04%
    Average Win: +6.50 Pips
Average Loss: -4.30 Pips (seems slippage played a part in the one loss we got)
    Biggest Win: +12.6 Pips
    Biggest Loss: -4.30 Pips
    Win %: 80%
Average Trade Length: 8 seconds (WOW, that's faaaasst)

One interesting testing note, is that the Demo account LOST money today and a bit of it too!! Why?? The demo got massive slippage and took WAAAYYYY more trades. Actually THREE times the number of trades!! I saw slippage on the demo of over 12 PIPS!!! What to make of this??? Well, this is not the first time we have seen different results from the demo to the Live account. It seems though, that the "real" price feed and a great broker (LMAX) is actually providing a better environment for Shark to trade. This is VERY unusual for an EA. Most of the time, it's the demo that is amazing and the live account can't hold up. I invite you to check both accounts!!

EA Shark 7.0 On the LIVE Account:

Not quite ready to give this EA the "bona fide" go-ahead yet but we are very close!! I just need to see ONE more set of trades to see either another gain, or a reasonable loss, then this folder moves to the "portfolio" section. AWESOME!! Let's see what happens next!!!!!

Omar, I might be mistaken but LMAX does not provide any Demo accounts on MT4. If you open a new demo account from the same MT4 you use for Live LMAX (which is in effect not LMAX platfrom but from the bridge operator) it will be open with a different broker, if I remember correctly, MIG Bank, which has less than favorable spreads (early 2000-likish) and perhaps monster slippage too. I would use FinFX or TF demo platform to get conditions similar to LMAX real platform instead....

Hi Raa! Actually the demo is on FXOpen which is a good broker for demos or real EA trading. I always try to use a broker that will simulate as real conditions as possible which is why I generally use FXOpen, the collectiveFX or FinFx.

That's what made this quite unusual

Understood. Let's see it working during more active times that may come tomorrow during ECB stuff, NFP and then next week FOMC, that might give us an indication how well it can handle news and spread carnage.

As always Raa, you give great insight. I think by the end of the week we will know much more about the overall viability of this EA. I don't want to get too excited yet but I would be lying if I said I wasn't impressed so far considering how poorly other volatility systems have been this year.
