Hi Gally, you don't call in often these days, but sure is fun when you doits now midnight and the team of techies and I have been through everything with a fine tooth comb. We have changed the header buttons, "New posts" is just that, if you have read it or not it is listed there. "Unread posts" is self explanatory. Other than that as you say your browser refresh solved some of the other problems and the final one of your having to keep logging in, we can not replicate. Have you tried clicking "remember me" - If it still doesnt work/throws you out then tell me the operating system you are using, browser etc and as much information as possible and we will have another go. Hopefully no one else has the same problem, by the way, Happy new year, good to "see" you, Marc

I like to make you work for the little pittance I pay. Keeps you all honest. Thanks. Had to change some settings in firefox to make it not reject the 'remember me' cookie. Hadn't happened on any other site.
'New Posts' now works more intuitively I think (and more likely to drive repeat traffic).
Okay, other minor point--when I have a look at the front page of the Private Members forum, you have the various subforums and then you have the threads that are started outside of those subforums (IYSWIM). So, to see the recent threads in Pierre's corner, I have to go into Pierre's corner. It would be good if that front page of the private members' section also pulled through the recent posts in the sub-forums. Otherwise many of us will just stay in Pierre's corner I would think as that's where the active weekly threads are?
And I realize that's a minor point, it just seems more consistent.
Thanks for all the work. You had to stay up to midnight to gap trade anyway, so don't blame me
Thank you so much for your feedback Gally as ever your points were very important to us and we hope your experience with our customer services has been up to your expectations.
Memo to fabio, "this is how you deal with difficult, argumentative, awkward, touchy punters/customers"
Fabio: But you said last night he was a $%XXXº*** s*d"
Marc "thats not the point these people pay our wages"
Fabio" Wages, what are they?"
Marc " the peanuts we give you"
Fabio " on the subject of peanuts I worked all over Christmas including up to mid night New Years Day - are you sure people, even tech monkeys dont get more peanuts for that"
Marc " nope as the punter said " I like to make you work for the little pittance I pay. Keeps you all honest. Thanks."
So there you have it. Thats why we only pay peanuts"
Fabio "I quit"
Marc "Hey I would too but I can't afford it. be careful its a jungle out there, also Gally is a property owner and landlord in Manchester, if you go there and need to rent a flat make sure you read the fine print first"
fabio "stuff you"
Marc " Have you learned nothing? Thank you so much for your feedback, as ever your points were very important to us and we hope your experience with our customer services has been up to your expectations.
P.s Close the door on the way out"
