Thumbs up A Review of Dean Saunders’ Forex Powerband Dominator

This is a detailed review of actually what is "under the hood" of the forex powerband dominator system, from someone who has actually used it. Unlike most of the reviews on the Internet that simply say: "it's brilliant buy it now"!

I personally have been paying far more attention to Bollinger bands, candlesticks, as well as the usual support & resistance, etc. I have viewed the course and will say:

1. Yes it is suitable for beginners, it is very easy to follow
2. Suitable for more experienced traders who have maybe over complicated things.
3. Definitely worth a look

On to the review:

Forex Powerband Dominator

As a former professional forex trader now managing my own trading account, I’ve seen plenty of forex trading systems whose vendors claim huge trading profits and that their system will double your account in a month, etc. This one does not go so far, although the vendor does claim that it is so simple that a 10-year old could be successful with it! Nevertheless, I was asked to do a balanced review of forex guru Dean Saunders' new Forex Powerband Dominator system.

This freshly-released expert trading system can currently be found for sale online at www.ForexPowerbandDominator.com for a limited time. Basically, Dean Saunders claims that he wants to let a few lucky people in on the forex trading secrets that have made him a small fortune trading foreign exchange for his own account over the last seven years.

Of course I was skeptical, despite Dean’s attractive sales pitch, but I decided to take the plunge anyway. After all, he has a good reputation based on his previous L.M.T. Forex Formula trading system, and Forex Powerband Dominator only costs $129 which I could make back with just one good forex trade! Also, it came with ClickBank’s reputable 60-day money-back guarantee, so I felt suitably assured that a prompt refund would be forthcoming if the package was not as helpful to my forex trading as its vendor claimed. In addition, I was very pleased to discover that the package is fully available for online access, so I did not have to wait for the mail to reach me or pay any costly shipping and handling fees.

The Forex Powerband Dominator package itself is made up of three main sections. The first segment contains a 49-page manual, the second has over 20 high-quality instructional "mini" videos and the third consists of two trade schematics or “cheat sheets.” While its non-automated nature might disappoint someone looking for a forex trading robot, when taken as a whole, this package provides even a novice forex trader with everything they need to make clear forex trading decisions and to then execute them successfully in the market.

The well-written manual that comprises the first section explains topics relevant to Dean’s trading method clearly and concisely with plenty of colorful graphical illustrations. The first topics covered will help a beginner get started trading forex and include guides to choosing a forex broker and installing the free MetaTrader 4 forex analysis and trading platform software.

The next several topics explain the key technical analysis elements used in the trading system like support and resistance, trend lines, exponential moving averages, candle chart patterns, stochastic oscillators and Bollinger Bands. The manual then shows how to put these elements together to generate reliable trading setups, along with all of the parameters needed to provide trade signals that have a high chance of success or “confluence”, as Dean puts it. Each of these sections includes charts and diagrams that suitably illustrate the ideas presented.

The second section is comprised of educational videos on topics that parallel those presented in the manual. The videos each run for several minutes, and they break down into a series of seven modules. The modules include topics like: setting up trading platform and charting software, basic system analysis mechanics, how the Forex Powerband Dominator trading system works, what appropriate position management techniques are recommended, some live trade samples and a series of helpful tips for trading success.

Furthermore, since I was already set up as a forex trader and knew about most of the concepts discussed in the manual and video, the really useful part of the package from my personal perspective were the set of two one-page “cheat-sheets” that comprise the third section of the Forex Powerband Dominator package. These cheat-sheets neatly and succinctly summarize Dean’s trading plan decision tree in a graphical color-coded format consisting of text boxes and arrows. One of the sheets covers buy trades, while one covers sell trades, and they could easily be posted side-by-side on your wall to keep them handy while you comb the market looking for juicy forex trading opportunities.

Finally, on his vendor page at www.ForexPowerbandDominator.com, Dean estimates that 70-80% of trades recommended by his trading method will be successful, with such winning trades being considerably more profitable than losers. Even if you do not achieve these results, because the system is aiming for low-risk, high-reward trades, the break-even could be as low as just 30% winning trades while you learn how to use Dean's system properly. That sort of trading success rate is impressive for a forex trading system and would make the rather minor initial cash outlay well worth the price of admission to this particular expert forex package.

Marc

I have been interested in anything Dean does and generally get it to work. Is it worth paying the money for dominator to get more docs over and above what is on the ForexPro site?

Hi Peter, its worth having as an add on to what we do in the forexmentorpro area. Its all the things I teach but with particular emphasis on bollinger bands, candle pattern, support & resistance etc. For those who are new to mentorpro I would concentrate on mastering what I teach on there first. Those like yourself who have been with us for a while might be ready to try this now. We will be creating a discount link for mentor members on that site in the next few days, so hang fire. marc

Hi Marc
I'm using Forex Dominator and I'm finding the setups easy to find and having some success. I must say though that Deans advice to keep a trading log with details of each trade and pictures is definitely the way to go. As always from Dean this is great advice well explained.

Default Forex Powerband Dominator

I've bought all of the Dean Saunders products and have liked two of them very much (LMT Forex Formula and 10 Minute Wealth Builder).

If nothing else, they contain very good trading advice.

I haven't tried the new product as I have several trading systems which work for me. However, I have never really understood how to use Bollinger Bands properly, and understand from Marc that the Forex Powerband Dominator product really has great uses of these.

I'm a bit too busy at the moment to give FPD the justice I am sure it deserves, but will almost certainly be adding this to my Dean Saunders collection soon.

Hi, I am using Dean's formula and it is mostly successful and very clear to use. There is no rocket science here and more experienced traders obviously know it all, but it is a good summary in a neat package very easy to use without over-thinking. Doesn't fire too often on 4H and D1, and I don't too much time to watch H1 setups (have my main work to do), but those do fire are usually profitable. My manual method-set consists of Dean's LMT, PowerBand, Marc's M1 and M2 (which PBD is actually a part of). I am also experimenting with some scalping methods but only with a bigger goal to automate them into a EA/Automated trading platform, it is too crazy and stressful to scalp manually. My opinion that PBD as well as LMT are great for any novice trader.

Smile nice review

Marc, that was a nice review of the PBD. Dean has done an outstanding job clearly documenting this system for all levels of traders to understand.

I'm in the process of manually back testing. I was running about 70% wins for 3 months until the market starting into a strong trend. I learned that in a strong up trend, for example, not to short at the upper Bollinger Band unless there are multiple reasons like Support Resistance and 00 price level. Instead it would be better to long pull backs. Anyway, Dean did a great job with PBD. It's obvious that he put a lot of time into this work!

I'm trying to get an idea how many trades this method would produce in a typical week across major pairs. Any input on this would be appreciated.

ps: learning a lot from forex mentor pro!

Thanks,
John

Default Question on M2 Method

Hi Marc,

Just want to ask if your 4 hr method (M2 I believe in the Forex mentor pro) similar to Deans Forex Powerband dominator. If not is your M2 method relies heavily on moving averages for entries?

Thanks joche

Hi Joche, i use numerous "clues" for entries; support & resistance, emas, fibs etc. If you are new to the mentor service then I would concentrate on mastering that first. I do use bollinger bands a lot and the FPD is really a matter of taking that further. Once you master my M2 method then that would be the time to consider the FPD. Regards, marc
